Why do McConnell and Bunning Hate our Troops

When the Webb Troop Protection Amendment, which would have placed minimum time frames on how long troops should be allowed to be home between deployments to Iraq, came before the Senate, it didn't even get the up-or-down vote Mitch McConnell demanded and got for Justices Roberts and Alito. The vote for cloture failed 56-41 and our troops lost (even though they were the ones who had the 56 votes). Sadly, two of the 41 were our own Mitch McConnell and Jim Bunning, who don't think our troops need 12 months at home between deployments. Did either of thoose guys serve 5 minutes in uniform, much less deployed to a combat zone? Guess! So damned easy to be a patriot!
